With all the politics and tension inherent in Kindred society, places must exist for Kindred to gather without fear for their safety, from other members of the Court. This is one of the reasons for Elysiums, places where life and limb, as well as art and beauty, are respected and must not be harmed. The Keeper is responsible for maintaining this order, as well as for maintaining the Masquerade, and may punish those responsible for violations.

Primogen are the representatives of their clans to the prince of a city. tThe officeholder is usually decided within the clan proper by voting, violence or someone higher up giving the orders. Primogen traditionally make up a council that is the second most powerful institution in the city after the Princedom. The power of the primogen varies with the power of the vampires that make it up, in some cities they are a rubberstamp for the prince, in other cities they manage all affairs.

All Kindred in a city are responsible for presenting themselves to the Prince, as per the Tradition of Hospitality. Those that do not do so forfeit the protection of the other Traditions, and are at the mercy of the Scourge, who may merely force them to present themselves, or destroy them for their refusal to conform to the Traditions.

Chosen by the Prince, the Seneschal acts in his stead when the Prince is not available. Often a political appointment, Seneschals can be removed by the Prince at will.

Mynos, Brujah

Mynos is a quiet and passionate Brujah. He is not too bright some days, but his heart is still in the right place. With the deaths of so many friends and clan-mates over the last few years, and a few run-ins with Sabbat infiltrators, his manners have changed from friendly but shy to a tense wariness. His leadership of the Brujah of Gimli is precarious at best due to the nature of Brujah clan politics and his liberal view on politics. Mynos has been known to smuggle small quantities of weapons and supplies to North American domains in their times of need, but always tries to downplay any involvement in these activities. He has taken to carrying a small silenced machine pistol with him while he travels the streets of Gimli for `personal protection`. He dresses in a leather trenchcoat, jeans, work boots, and a t-shirt most nights, but is an impressive figure on those occasions when he dresses up to the nines.
